An All-Volunteer Department
We rely on community members to provide the high level of service expected of us. The department provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical services and has been the lead agency during major community events and disasters. Over a 1,000 calls for service are answered every year.
The Hildale – Colorado City Fire Department is a combined agency consisting of the Colorado City Fire District in Arizona and the municipality of Hildale City in Utah. Including the designated EMS response areas for both states, the HCCFD provides services to over 12,000 people and about 1,000 square miles. Good neighbor response to the vast Arizona Strip and areas of unincorporated Washington, Kane, and Mohave Counties adds more than 100,000 square miles served.
We are pleased to maintain an Insurance (ISO) Fire Protection rating of 3, putting us in a very high and rare category for an all-volunteer service. The volunteers, Fire Board, and City Council are here to provide you the best service possible. Our motto is “Expect Excellence”.
