A brief paragraph about your interest in becoming a volunteer including wether Fire, EMS, or a support function is your desire.
A note about your availability
911 is for any FIRE, or MEDICAL response, even if you feel like it's not an Emergency.
911 can also be used for any Emergency POLICE response.
Yes, you need a burn permit for any open burning. Any kind of burn that is contained, such as in a barrel or in a firepit, does not need a permit, but still use caution. Please give us a call to ensure conditions are suitable for burning and get a burn permit.
Our fire district is responsible for the fire protection of our cities and unincorporated areas. Receiving a burn permit not only ensure that weather conditions are optimal, but also let's us know what is a controlled burn and is an actual emergency that requires our response. Many people call in "smoke reports" from controlled burns and if we have your information on file, we can call to double check everything is still controlled, rather than send a full response to put out your burn pile.
Yes of course, but just be aware that we are a volunteer agency, and there might not be people at the station all the time. Make sure to call 911, and let them know you are there, or headed there.
We try to offer an 8 hour CPR / First Aid Class every month. This is dependent on interest and available personnel. If you need a specific training for your school or business, we are happy to accommodate what we can. For further information about cost and schedules, give a call and we can get you in contact with our CPR Coordinator.
It is important to keep your chimney clear of debris and we encourage families to sweep their chimneys annually. The fire department has a chimney sweep available to the public to use free of charge. To coordinate pick up and drop off, give us a call, and we can help you keep your home safe.
